Seeking The Rock is Seeking God’s Glory and experiencing His mercy and goodness…
Exodus 33:18-23… Then Moses said, “Now show me your glory.”
19And the Lord said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. 20But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.”
21Then the Lord said, “There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock. 22When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by. 23Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen.”
In the midst of anything that may be happening in our lives, we need to know that God is with us, for He is our Rock.
When we begin to grow spiritually in our lives, we need to be progressive in our growth. Once we have asked for God to show us His ways, and to lead us, and to teach us His ways, we then want the presence of God in our lives. What we want is more of God.
You can see anything that you want to see. Having your eyes open to see the goodness of the Lord is the right way to live.
Nothing compares to knowing Christ Jesus. What God wants more of from His people is for us to know Him more.
God wants us to learn these lessons, this will be the foundation in your life that will sustain you. These are three ways God shares His glory with each and every one of us…
- God causes all His goodness to pass in front of us. We witness this in how He provides for us.
- God will proclaim His name. The deeper we go with God the more intimate we will be with Him.
- God can be seen through His mercy and compassion. Because God loves you so much, He sent His Son.
When you stand upon the Rock you will not falter; you will be sustained.
This Rock will see you through. There is a place of refuge. God wants us to know that there is that place, and that place is Jesus.
Only God knows what things we will face. He is with us.
