God wants to be the “I Am” in you; to move your mountains…
Exodus 3:13-15…
Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?”
14God said to Moses, “I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.’” 15God also said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’ “This is my name forever, the name you shall call me from generation to generation.
There are three encounter points for the true “I Am”. God is
- the promise
- the purpose
- the power
Have you ever felt trapped in a situation. God specializes in the impossible, and loves to do the miraculous. This is God’s specialty.
We may think small, and we may pray small, and we may believe small. When we do this, we put a limit on God. We have to think big, pray big, and believe big. The mountain is still there because you won’t get out of the way. Pray- and get out of the way.
Are we allowing Jesus to be what we need in our lives…
- the Promise
- the Purpose
- the Gate
- the Good Shepherd
- the Resurrection and the Life
- the Way, the Truth and the Life
- the Vine
God’s existence is not dependent upon anyone. His plans are not dependent on anyone or anything. His purpose and promise are not dependent on anyone, anything, or anywhere.
It does not matter how bad it gets, let the promise of the I Am wash over you and flood your soul. Let Him rescue you and bring you peace.
