What does the Seal of the Holy Spirit mean in our lives?…
And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of His glory.
Of the many things that the Holy Spirit is to Christians, not much is talked about how He is that Seal for each and every one of us.
When we believe and profess Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, at that point is when the Seal takes place. The Holy Spirit was the sealed approval given by God.
Why was Jesus baptized? The culture of the day and the Bible state the reason for Jesus’s baptism. Jesus did not need to be baptized, it was done to fulfill all righteousness. It was necessary for approval. God said, “This is my Son in whom I am well-pleased”.
God gave His approval to Jesus. This means that we, too, are approved when we accept Jesus Christ. His seal of approval is also on us.
The importance of the seal of the Holy Spirit is that it is proof of authenticity. The work of the Holy Spirit is proof that we belong to God. The seal of ownership through God is now on you, and you are now His.
In those times in life when you think you are all alone, you are not alone. Because you have given yourself to God, He notices you.
Know that God has your back. He notices you when you get up, when you lay your head down. He notices and He has marked you with the seal that the Lord knows those that are His.
