Only One Thing is Needed- Simplified

We may get all caught up with the daily goings on of our lives; however, Only One Thing is Needed…

Luke 10:38-42… As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. 39She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. 40But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”
41“Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, 42 but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

During Christmastime there are so many choices that we have, but only one thing is necessary. It is important to only look at the “urgent” and not ignore what is vital.

Christmas can be filled with us so busy working for God that we miss God.

One of the things that the Christmas season brings is distractions. There are so many preparations that go on for Christmas. There are so many events going on.

These things can take you away from the only one thing that really matters. Fond memories with family and friends are important, but Jesus needs to be first.

We encourage you to not get pulled away from so many different directions.

We can get so burdened down with stress and pressures that were never intended by God during this Christmas season. If you are feeling overloaded, it is not the Lord that put these extra burdens upon you.

Do not do things that overload you so much so that they keep you out of the presence of Jesus.

Make sure that Jesus is predominant in our lives and in our families.
