Mind Games-Pt 2: Less Confident

We need to be weary of Mind Games that keep us from the lies that can separate us from God…

Exodus 5:1-9… Afterward Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘Let my people go, so that they may hold a festival to me in the wilderness.’”
2Pharaoh said, “Who is the Lord, that I should obey him and let Israel go? I do not know the Lord and I will not let Israel go.”
3Then they said, “The God of the Hebrews has met with us. Now let us take a three-day journey into the wilderness to offer sacrifices to the Lord our God, or he may strike us with plagues or with the sword.”
4But the king of Egypt said, “Moses and Aaron, why are you taking the people away from their labor? Get back to your work!”
5Then Pharaoh said, “Look, the people of the land are now numerous, and you are stopping them from working.”
6That same day Pharaoh gave this order to the slave drivers and overseers in charge of the people: 7“You are no longer to supply the people with straw for making bricks; let them go and gather their own straw.
8But require them to make the same number of bricks as before; don’t reduce the quota. They are lazy; that is why they are crying out, ‘Let us go and sacrifice to our God.’
9Make the work harder for the people so that they keep working and pay no attention to lies.”

There are games that the enemy devises to keep us from pursuing God.

Whenever we want to do something, whether at work or home, there will always be at least one person that does not want that to happen. It is satan who will stand against what God plans. The enemy does not to see you do anything for God.

One of the enemy’s games is one of removing our confidence. When confidence is shot, you will question your salvation.

Two additional things that the enemy tries to do to separate you from Christ is…

  1. burdening you
  2. having you question your identity in Christ

God does not want you to be so overburdened so that you are not productive for Him or for your family or anything else.

If we allow the world to form us we lose our identity. When we lose our identity we lose our purpose.

The enemy’s mind games will separate us from the larger purpose of our family, our home, our community, our church. Do not fall prey to those kinds of tactics.

When a God-fearing person begins to worship and love God he/she becomes a dangerous thing on this planet.

Our identity is not based on what we do or the roles we play, but who we are in Christ Jesus.

God says that He sees past the sin and knows what you can be. If you allow Him to do something in you, you will see just how much you are worth. You will see your purpose.
