Living Water for the Soul-Part 3

Jesus is that Living Water for the Soul that people seek…

John 4:4-10… Now he had to go through Samaria. 5So he came to a town in Samaria called Sychar, near the plot of ground Jacob had given to his son Joseph.
6Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about noon.
7When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Will you give me a drink?” 8(His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.)
9The Samaritan woman said to him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.)
10Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”

We look to God to supply the living water that so many are in desperate need of. Not only do we want to be quenched, so many others do as well.

It is important for us to realize that we can not give in to our fears of offending someone. We need to be sensitive to the things going on around us, but we want to speak the gospel.

If we allow our fears to have precedence, we will say nothing to no one. God, however, wants us to speak to others so that they, too, can be saved.

Fulfilling peoples’ needs is a great way to get their attention.

We need to keep conversations personal and on target. It is important to be aware of diversions. People do not need to be corrected on every single issue. Be aware of distractions of talks on religion than talks of personal and heart issues.

People have an innate desire to know God. Many people lack the knowledge to know that what is lacking in their life is actually God.

God has the healing salve for people’s hurts.

Are we taking advantage of every opportunity that God is placing before us in being used by Him?
