In order to have a good life, a Good Foundation is critical beyond just considering worldly education and our careers…
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.” 28When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, 29because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law.
Every one of us has an underlying belief system that dictates our actions. This Good Foundation goes a long way towards everything that we become. This is illustrated in the construction of a building. Though the foundation cannot be seen, it is there and important. If it is not laid properly, no matter the beauty of the structure, it will fall.
Trust that foundation. Trust what the bible says. You apply it to your life. Know that everything that is built on top of that, because it has it’s foundation as Jesus Christ, is going to be strong and durable.
You will be able to stand when the strong winds of life try to knock you down. It is all because of the Good Foundation.
Those that may attempt to build their life on something other than the Word of God, will not stand the trials of life. It is necessary to have a full and complete foundation. It is not sufficient to pick and choose what one likes from the Bible. We must adhere to it all.
