Giving Up Anxiety: 5 Reasons From Worrier to Warrior

When we opt to accept God’s peace and give up anxiety, we change from Worrier to Warrior…

Matthew 6:25-26…
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
Philippians 4:6-7…
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
2 Timothy 1:7…
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

In order to have peace, we need to change from worrier to Warrior in Jesus’ name. With Christ there is hope that my tomorrow will be greater than today.

God has called us to go out there and reach the world and preach the Good News. He did not say go out and talk about anxiety and the baggage that we carry.

So many studies show that as the year winds down, we tend to get anxious. We think about all the things we wanted to get done and we did not. There is also the running around to buy gifts and attend parties.

We need to allow the peace of God to take over so that we can get from worrier to the place of abiding peace.

To find a peaceful heart, as Christians, we have to believe these five essential things about God. This will help us go from worrier to being a warrior.

  1. God is absolutely sovereign
  2. God is our provider
  3. God made us the way we are for a purpose
  4. God has a place where we truly belong
  5. God has a plan for our fulfillment

Are we going to choose to renew our minds, and turn our worries to victory? Are we going to change ourselves from worriers to warriors?
