Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
Finding peace of mind is that which is accomplished when one seeks God. It is His presence in our lives that we wish to attain.
Unless you have that peace with God, you can never really know true peace. It is the result of knowing and being in the presence of God.
God wants us to have positive thinking. We need to be careful with what we put into our minds. This affects everything.
Finding peace of mind is difficult for us because of our own will and our own choices. Pursuing that which is not of God keeps us lost.
Don’t look at yourself the way you may think you look to others, or the way others may be looking at you. Think about yourself the way God thinks. If you start doing this you will come out of this bondage.
Preparing your mind for action will lead you to finding peace of mind. We need to take captive every negative thought. Keep your mind on the positive things. God will keep you in perfect peace when you keep your mind steadfast on Him.
There are a lot of things that our mind can wander to, but we need to keep our minds disciplined. What we allow our minds to dwell on will eventually cause us to act on those things.
God wants us to be prepared. Think about the great plans that God has for you- because He does have them for you!
