We will encounter areas in our life when we will see a Detour Ahead, but God is with us…
Exodus 13:17-18… When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them on the road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter. For God said, “If they face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.” 18So God led the people around by the desert road toward the Red Sea. The Israelites went up out of Egypt ready for battle.
At those times when God presents before us a detour ahead, He will guide us.
Let God do the detour for you, not make your own path.
Submission to God’s will will lead to a life of detours. You will open up a new life for you and your family. We are blessed when we cede to the detour ahead that God has placed before us.
What are the detours in your life? Embrace the detours in your life. God knows what is in store for your life.
When God says to take a detour ahead, we need to take it; whether the detour be longer or harder. God says when you come out of it onto the narrow path, you will go to another level. You will draw to a closer intimacy with Him. Submit to those God moments that will enrich your life.
Our own detours will not get us too far. Only God’s detours get us to where we actually need to be.
