20/20 Vision- Spiritual

In this new year we should seek to have 20/20 Vision of our heart and spirit…

2 Peter 1:2-4… Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
2 Peter 1:8-9… For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither [e]barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.

Even if you have 20/20 vision, you will never see things that are spiritually discerned. You can not perceive spiritual things through a physical lens.

Perception is everything; it is reality. What you perceive to be true is your reality. With multiple people you will have multiple perceptions.

The physical realm was created by the spiritual realm. Everything was created by God. God, who is spirit, made the physical world with His Word.

The physical realm is subject to the spiritual realm. Our faith activates the power of God in our spirit to bring the physical realm into subjection of the spiritual. God’s Word trumps the physical world.

In which realm do you live in- the physical or spiritual? We live in both realms. You have a physical body but you also have an eternal spirit.

There are angels and demons that are active and working. It is not something that we need to be fearful of. The point is that we need to be mindful that it is happening.

Don’t be so focused and looking only at the physical things and the things that you see with your eyes because that is not all that is going on.

Our perspective is everything. Which lens are we looking at life through? May our vision for 2020 be 20/20 vision of the Spirit. To see things as they are based on God’s Word over what we see with our eyes.

May we have  an increase in our spiritual vision so that God is glorified in our lives.
